The Sisterhood of the Traveling Lens
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Lens is a social experiment in connection. Each week, the lens travels to new places, meets new people, and shares new memories, all because one person connected the lens to their world and shared it.
Connection — something so important to us all. No matter how much we grow to love ourselves, part of being human is the instinctual drive to be seen, heard, and valued by other people.
So where will the lens go? Who will the lens meet? What will the lens see? What connections is the lens helping to create? Even though we might not always be aware of it, we are all somehow connected. And perhaps it all just started with a Traveling Lens…
If you’ve received the lens — congratulations!
Now for the next five days, you have the opportunity to capture and document one photo a day from your life using the lens. Your moments will be posted to our shared Instagram account: @sisterhood_travelinglens.
After your five days is up, it’s your turn to share the lens with someone else. Who you gift the lens to is completely up to you, just don’t forget to pass it along. Before sharing, make sure the lens is secured back in it’s box, and make sure the next person who watches over the lens understands how this all works.
The rules are simple:
1. Take at least one photo a day using the lens
2. Choose one favorite photo from each day that represents your day
3. Write a caption for your photo; short/sweet or long/detailed — up to you!
4. Send photos with captions to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Example email below
1. Use the correct email!
2. Add a subject line
3. Include your captions, labeled by day
4. Attach five photos, labeled by day
